The KQED performance was recorded at the Fillmore Auditorium (1805 Geary Blvd, San Francisco), NOT at Fillmore West (10 South Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco). They played Fillmore West the night before (29th April), then did the KQED shoot the next day in the empty Fillmore Auditorium. This DVD is taken from a VHS copy of the actual TV broadcast from 1970. It has quite a few image roll and picture break-up flaws, but is not bad quality with good sound. The actual KQED TV broadcast film is now officially available in the Pink Floyd - The Early Years 1965-1972 set in much better quality, as are the "The Promo Videos - 1968" which are documented in the set as: 1968 Germin/ation BR ('Tienerklanken’, Brussels, Belgium, 18-19 February 1968). The "Somewhere In England - 1968 13 Interstellar Overdrive" I wasn't able to identify as being available elsewhere.

Just to reiterate the history more fully-do not be fooled by these CHEAP limited editions from Italy in MCV for a number of the OLD Floyd releases. They should at least have the decency to let those people who do not know the history of the early releases and make some note that this is a NEW edition from 200x/201x and the biggest irony is that they still cannot make MCVinyl like Idle Mind/K&S etc.did.And they've been trying for 30 years..... Anyway the early history of this release is that the first issue was FILLMORE WEST on CBM/Contraband in the early 1970s-West Coast US issue with insert-usually crimson coloured. There were 1 or 2 variations of the same basic pressing until the next issue Mid 1970s Kornyphone release OHM SUITE OHM-a better pressing than the first release and No.TAKRL 1933.The next issue of this concert came from Germany and was one of the EARLY Swinging Pig releases-early 1980s and well before their halcyon years in the late 1980s when a loophole in the law led to them putting out loads of titles in colour vinyl. The facts are that there were NO Colour/Multicolour vinyl releases of this title EVER available until at least 2000.All these first issues were in ordinary black vinyl ONLY.After that there are a plethora of TMOQ/TAKRL colour/MCV issues-DO NOT BE FOOLED!I have nothing against these releases, as long as they do not try and make out they are from 30/40 years ago!

This was the second issue of this Fillmore West 1970 recording after the Fillmore West CBM release in the early/mid 1970s.This soon followed on TAKRL and was a little better pressing than the CBM.USA issues and never available on the proper TMOQ label. These TMOQ limited MCV issues are relatively very modern copies and I think they originate in Europe!

This release is really from "The Amazing Kornyfone Record Label" ? I mean, that label released multicoloured vinyl? Or are we talking about "Trade Mark Of Quality (2)" ? I've got this album in multicolour vinyl, limited edition 139/250, "Trade Mark of Quality (2)" on labels and on the cover we can see "TAKRL/1933". But my edition is not a TAKRL edition but a copy made by TMOQ(2).
