Their latest album seems to be called, ‘Dead Silence’. There’s a trend that needs to be followed here, or could this mean that this album is a bold new sound for Billy Talent? A complete re-do of what has come before? A venture into brave new genres? The answer: no, not really. But, fear not dear reader, this is pleasant step forward for Billy Talent. Well, folks, it looks like Billy Talent are back in the game as ‘Dead Silence’ is not only a thoroughly enjoyable album, but it’s also a solid effort by the band both lyrically and musically. It may not be as revolutionary as their first two full-lengths, but there’s no denying that they’re back on form. Dead Silence’ is everything you expected from ‘Billy Talent III’, but nothing more. It doesn’t go above and beyond as an album, but it’s still a good listen and I would heartily recommend you do go and check it out. Written by Andy Roberts.
