Rock Star Dust Light is a spectacular album, we are again with renewed and regenerated Jamiroquai, by staying still as fresh and exciting as ever. Jamiroquai has always walked his own way, made from a beautiful job all these years, writing and performing music that transcends the sound of a specific date or time. This is a great attribute that is rare in most bands today. The 12 tracks here are further testament of their excellent talent.

Rock dust light star And it's coming at you, baby, yeah. I'm a man on the moon I hope I don't come back too soon Am I the only one to see the light? No use in getting down upon your knees tonight So I don't feel love Cause I got no faith I've seen those twisted lies thrown back into my face I've seen the crazy doctrines of the human race I must be alone . The opening track to Jamiroquai’s 2010 album of the same name, Rock Dust Light Star deals with themes of helplessness, the end of the world and anti-religious views. Jay Kay said of the song, We’re gonna get hit by a big rock one da. f you see a big flash in the sky, praying won’t help.
Rock Dust Light Star is the seventh studio album by Jamiroquai, and was produced by Jay alongside first time collaborators Charlie Russell and Brad Spencer. This is the first album released by Mercury Records, which is a part of Universal Music. The album was officially announced on 16 August 2010 by a post at Jamiroquai
Rock Dust Light Star is an unrelenting funk album that will make you shake your can like only a Jamiroquai album can. The titular and opening track starts with a warm-up false start that ends with singer Jay Kay declaring Yeah. Ok, that’s the one, before easing into a keyboard and vocal disco roll that is sexy and slow. This song, and really the entire album, makes me think that Jamiroquai has to be an influence on Jamie Liddell and his recent solo albums. Jay Kay and Liddell have nearly identical voices, and when Liddell performs live he even wears similar headdresses to Kay. Either it’s a monumental coincidence, or there is some mimicry involved.
However, the album is a bit of a grower, with Kay evincing more of an interest in knotty, long-form funk numbers that take their sweet time to reach their inevitable, euphorically funky pop pinnacle. Nonetheless, Kay, having entered his forties, doesn't seem to be letting up on the disco gas - nor the literal kind as the helicopter and Porsche-sploitation video for the funky slick single "White Knuckle Ride" proves.
