Bilious Paths is a melting pot of beautiful harmonies, chaotic breaks, droopy signature synths and moody atmospheres. It is one of those records that should be listened to from start to finish and appreciated as a whole. Probably Mike Paradinas' best work and ranks for me among the best RDJ and Vibert albums. My my my, how far the amen break has come. This album contains what could be some of µ-Ziq's finest material in years. Amen breaks chopped to oblivion with his signature melancholy synths and phasey, distorted drum tracks make for a µ-nique listening experience. This album leaves me wondering what territory Paradinas could cover next, because he has progressed so much with his style over the years, and this album is a sure sign of that. -Ziq ‎– Bilious Paths. Label: Planet Mu ‎– ZIQ070. Format: 2 Vinyl, LP, Album. Thats what im talking about. Best album from Mike Paradinas for a long time. Filled with those crazy breakbeats, and all those good ol' jungle noises, you never get tired o. f you liked earlier realeses from µ-Ziq, such as "Brace Yourself" & "Lunatic Harness", your gonna love this one! Both thumbs up! Reply Notify me Helpful.

The first µ-Ziq release on Mike Paradinas' own Planet µ label since he debuted it with a 1997 double EP, Bilious Paths returns him full circle to the master-craftsman mayhem of that year's Lunatic Harness. And since it's also his first full-length not on a major-distributed label since 1995, Paradinas allowed himself a refreshing degree of latitude when it came to genre workouts (hardcore techno, junglistic dread madness, chilled experimental techno)

Bilious Paths is the sixth studio album by British IDM producer µ-Ziq, released on Planet Mu in 2003. Matt Gonzales of PopMatters said, "Bilious Paths is further proof that µ-Ziq is an indisputable giant in the IDM world, even if few people can see hi.

Bilious Paths is the sixth studio album by British IDM producer µ-Ziq, released on Planet Mu in 2003. Classic album by µ-Ziq; 12 tracks consisting of hard cut-up breaks influenced electronics, distorted washes of melodic detritus and occasional serene ambience; all harking back to his various pasts (the track 'Meinheld' for instance recalls '97's 'Lunatic Harness' and 'My Mengegus' would sound like it was lifted off 1993's 'Tango N'Vectif' were it not for the give-away. However, much of the album charts new territory for Paradinas, like the opening track 'Johnny Mastricht' which is inspired by the 2-step garage sound, but with Mike's own trademark melodic sensibilities taking the place of the bass and the 'Grape Nut beats' duo of tracks which mix 6/8 gabber-techno; old skool rave and nu-skool breaks with speed garage.
