Bach, Glenn Gould - Two And Three Part Inventions ‎(Cass, Album). Amazing rare original mono pressing of this beautiful album showcasing Glenn Gould at his best. The piano playing here has exquisite nuance and timing compared to digital versions and luckily this is a very well preserved LP with fantastic audio quality. Both the "hiccup" in the modified Steinway piano as well as Glenn's infamous "vocalise" can be heard quite well. Reply Notify me Helpful.

Inventions and Sinfonias (Bach). Glenn Herbert Gould (25 September 1932 – 4 October 1982) was a Canadian pianist who became one of the best-known and most celebrated classical pianists of the 20th century. He was particularly renowned as an interpreter of the keyboard music of Johann Sebastian Bach. The Inventions and Sinfonias, BWV 772–801, also known as the Two- and Three-Part Inventions, are a collection of thirty short keyboard compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750): 15 inventions, which are two-part contrapuntal pieces, and 15 sinfonias, which are three-part contrapuntal pieces. They were originally written as musical exercises for his students.
